User Guidance

Braun NTF3000 is very simple to use by holding it in front of the forehead up to 5 cm away or placing the thermometer on the forehead. It provide no touch and touch mode.

Steps as follow with no touch mode. If need repeat measured, go to step 3.

    • Remove cap: Remove the protective scanner cap before taking a measurement
    • Power on: When When device displays (“—”), the thermometer is ready
    • Position: Place thermometer between the eyebrows and 5 cm away from the center of forehead.
    • Take temperature: Press the “Temperature button” and release it.
    • Read temperature: Remove the thermometer from the forehead and read the temperature. Green for normal temperatures, Yellow for slightly elevated temperatures, and red indicates that fever may be present. 10 short beeps when high fever.
    • Power off: Press the power button. To conserve battery power, the unit will automatically shut down after 60 seconds of no use

No touch mode guidance system feature

In no touch mode , Taking the correct temperature at the right position by use the proximity sensor to the correct distance.

Fever Guidance feature

Fever Guidance helps you to better understand the meaning of your child’s temperature . A red alert for fever on screen and  green if no fever, yellow when the temperature is slightly elevated . Make notice that 10 audible beeps means temperatures already above 37.4 °C.

Braun NTF3000 used For any age except newborn, because it is safety, no danger and do not cause pain, but for newborn, choose braun IRT6520 will be better. Several tips need to make notice when measure temprature:

  • Do not measure temperature after sports or taking a bath.
  • Clear the probe with alcohol if measure ear temperature.
  • Difference 1~2F(0.6~1.2C) between forehead and ear is normal
  • The thermometer sensor is extremely sensitive. Any dirt and/or oil will prevent an accurate measurement.
  • Keep it out of children’s reach.
  • keep it in a dustfree
  • Keep 5 cm away from forehead when use no touch mode
  • Do not remove the thermometer from the forehead before hearing the final beep
  • Do not take a measurement while or immediately after nursing a baby
  • Do not use the Forehead thermometer in high humidity environments
  • Patients should not drink, eat, or be physically active before/while taking the measurement.
  • It is recommended to use the “touch” option instead of “no touch.” when measure own temperature
High temperature may signal a illness, especially for old or babies. Need professional advice immediately from doctor.

Braun NTF3000 is very good but a little too pricey compare with other as considered as best forehead thermometer. It will provide accurate measurement as long as you follow the directions carefully. As mentioned, if used for newborn Braun IRT6520 will be better because of Age Precision® Technology for age adjustable fever guidance.
