User Guidance
IProvén DMT-489 provide two way to measure temperature, one is via forehead and the other one is va eardrum. For the first use , the battery protection tab must be removed and remove by gently pulling it out of the battery compartments.
Via forehead:
- Make sure the forehead is dry and clean before measurement
- Cover the sensor cap.
- Press the Head button
- Slide the thermometer along your forehead and always keep contact with forehead all the times during measurement
- Release the Head button button and Wait for q quiet beep
- Read the temperature on LCD screen
- Clean the ear canal first.
- Take off the sensor cover to expose the sensor probe.
- Pull the ear backward and upward.
- Remove the sensor cover on the top to expose the sensor probe and gently pull ear upward
- Gently insert the sensor into the ear canal
- Press the Ear button and Wait for a quiet beep
- Read the temperature on LCD screen
- Press and hold the Ear-button for 10 seconds until the display shows “- – -˚C” or “- – -˚F”
- Release the Ear-button
- Normal: between 36.0˚C and <37.6˚C or 96.8˚F and <99.7˚F , Display will light green
- Fever: between 37.6˚C <42.2˚C or 99.7˚F <108˚F, e fever alarm will sound, display will light red

Notes
IProvén DMT-489 used For any age, because it is safety, no danger and do not cause pain, but for newborn, choose braun IRT6520 will be better. Several tips need to make notice when measure temprature:
- Ensure keep contact with forehead when measure
- Do not measure temperature after sports or taking a bath.
- Don’t clean the probe with alcohol but use dry cloth.
- Difference ±0.2˚C /±0.4˚F is normal
- The IProvén DMT-489 sensor is extremely sensitive. Any oil or dirt will prevent an accurate measurement.
- The ear mode is not suitable for children under 6 months
- It’s not intended to serve as a continuous monitoring device.
- It’s not waterproof.
- It can’t replace medical supervision.
- Do not twist the thermometer or the temperature sensor
- Remove the batteries if the thermometer will not be used for longer than three months
- If environmental condition changed, wait at least 30 minutes
- Keep it out of children’s reach.
